Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We visited Almaskoof restaurant and were impressed by the consistently high-quality food. The service was excellent, and they can accommodate groups with prior notice. Their Iraqi Chai is always served at top-notch quality!”"
"It was my first time trying Iraqi cuisine, and honestly, I was impressed from the very first bite all the way to the Iraqi tea and desserts served at the end. We ordered the Iraqi Masgouf fish (served with white rice and white bean stew) based on the waiter’s recommendation, and the portion was very generous blessings and absolutely delicious. We also tried the Iraqi dolma, known for its richness in ghee and the use of lamb ribs or shank at the bottom of the pot. It was an excellent choice as well, with a large portion blessings and wonderful flavor. A variety of salads is served as appetizers before the main course, along with soup. And finally, as part of their generous hospitality, they serve their uniquely flavored Iraqi tea along with traditional Iraqi sweets, including baklava. I will definitely be returning to this remarkable place whenever I’m in Abu Dhabi. Highly recommended for everyone to try.."

"Great food, delicious and authentic. Variety of dishes to choose from. Very nice collection of pickles, delicious freshly baked bread. Place is cozy and staff are welcoming. There are plenty of parking spots around. The reason I gave 4 stars is the service. It’s poor and needs some improvement."
"The restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The staff were remarkably welcoming, attentive, and consistently professional, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and prepared with clear attention to quality and freshness. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, making it an ideal place for both families and friends. Service was prompt, organized, and delivered with genuine hospitality. Overall, the restaurant excels in food, service, ambiance, and cleanliness, and it clearly stands out as one of the best dining choices in the city."
"The Baja soup and Baja plate are both exceptionally delicious. We also enjoyed a delectable Iraqi kebab during our meal. The service was prompt and the food was presented in a clean manner. We highly recommend to try Baja,. Regard the staff is efficient and attentive."
"All of the food we had was amazing except for the fish. Not sure if we just got a bad one but it was quite weedy tasting and not that great. Everything else we had was great, hummus with lamb, fattoush, pickles, fresh bread, etc. They serve good desserts with Iraqi tea as well after the meal. Staff is super nice but has very limited English. Be prepared to point and smile."
"What a gem in the Abu Dhabi city. 3 of us ordered a big 3kg fish and a chicken briyani...can't finish though. Food are delicious with lots of side dishes. Happy stomach and definitely will return for other dishes!"
